The Stories Behind: Mumbai Kiss

There are moments that feel like a prayer.

In the middle of a course in Mumbai, I witnessed something that changed me forever:

Two women. A pause. A kiss.

Not explained. Not framed. Simply… present.

This moment was so tender, so true, that everything else faded. It was intimacy beyond roles. Connection beyond words.

And I stood there, watching, absorbing – and feeling something sacred awaken in me.

My painting Mumbai Kiss was born from that moment.

It’s not a representation, it’s a memory.

An energetic imprint of a lived experience. A vibration captured in colors and lines.

When I later created this artwork, I wasn’t painting a scene –

I was painting a space.

A space where the sacred and the human meet.

Where bodies speak with gratitude.

Where silence is deeper than thought.

Below, you’ll find the video that tells this story in my own words –

part of my ongoing series The Stories Behind,

where I reveal the real-life inspirations behind my artwork.

Take a moment. Watch.

And let this kiss speak to the tenderness within you.
